St. Francis de Sales and the Diocese of Grand Rapids are committed to protecting children and adults from harm. The Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People is the main document we follow in directing our work.

April is recognized in the United States as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This month-long observance reminds us all of our collective responsibility to make positive choices that will impact the safety and well-being of our children. As we continue our efforts to prevent child abuse, let us give thanks for the many members of our community that have come together on this mission to put a stop to abuse and create positive, healthy environments for all children.

One way you can help is by participating in a free training called Protecting God's Children which is offered by the Diocese of Grand Rapids.  Trainings are held all over the diocese throughout the year.  Learn more about these trainings and requirements we have for volunteers who work with children at St. Francis de Sales.
