Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation begins each fall. Registration begins in April and closes by August 31 each year - register here.
The process of preparation at our parish takes place in the context of small discipleship groups, mentored by adults and student leaders. We begin with a kerygmatic experience (such as the Alpha Course) and continue with content from different sources, including YDisciple. (Please note - because parents are key to the faith life of children and teens, a parent of the teen preparing is also required to separately participate in a kerygmatic course of his/her own, such as the Alpha Course or the Rescue Project).
Generally, teens participate in weekly programming in September - May, with the Sacrament of Confirmation conferred the following fall at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Grand Rapids.

La preparación para el Sacramento de la Confirmación comienza cada otoño. Las inscripciones comienzan en abril y cierran el 31 de agosto de cada año; regístrese aquí.
El proceso de preparación en nuestra parroquia se lleva a cabo en el contexto de grupos pequeños de discipulado, guiados por adultos y líderes estudiantiles. Comenzamos con una experiencia querigmática (como el Curso Alpha) y continuamos con contenido de diferentes fuentes, incluyendo YDisciple. (Tenga en cuenta que, debido a que los padres son clave para la vida de fe de los niños y adolescentes, se requiere que un padre del adolescente que se prepara participe por separado en un curso querigmático propio, como el Curso Alpha o el Proyecto Rescate).
Por lo general, los adolescentes participan en programación semanal de septiembre a mayo, y el Sacramento de la Confirmación se confiere el otoño siguiente en la Catedral de San Andrés en Grand Rapids.

Volunteer FormAll volunteers, 18 years or older, who have access to children and vulnerable adults, are required to participate in a one-time Virtus Protecting God’s Children training and complete documentation, including authorization for a criminal background check.
