Reflecting on Two Years of Missionary Work in Senegal, a parishioner's experience

All are invited this Sunday, at 4pm in the Multipurpose room,  to hear SFDS parishioner Sofia Piecuch who will be speaking about her two year volunteer experience in Senegal with Heart’s Home.  Natalia Fassano, Heart’s Home’s national director will also be with Sofia.

Heart's Home is a non-profit rooted in the Catholic faith that reaches out to people from every walk of life, especially those most socially isolated, in some of the world’s most troubled areas. Like Mary, Heart’s Home volunteers "stand at the foot of the cross" of all those who suffer. Volunteers participate in an intense prayer life, live in an intentional international community and practice a ministry of presence and compassion. The latter entails building friendships with the people in our neighborhoods by simply going to visit them often. The friendships created allow for various apostolates, that differ from each country.”
