Thanksgiving
Free Turkey and Fresh Produce Distribution: Community Action House is on a mission to spread holiday cheer by providing free turkeys and fresh produce to over 200 families in need. What's particularly fantastic about this initiative is that families are welcome to participate, regardless of their membership status. To make this process as convenient as possible, families simply need to get in touch and schedule a time that suits them for shopping.
Christmas
Salvation Army's Gift Program: The Salvation Army is already gearing up to make the season magical for children aged 0 to 17. They are compiling a list of recipients to ensure that every child in this age group receives a gift. It's worth noting that if you're expecting a little one to join your family before Christmas, you can still sign up to receive a gift for them.
Lady Knights' Generosity: The Lady Knights, known for their compassion, are playing a vital role by collecting items for baking such as sugar, flour, cake and cookie mixes, and more. They are also accepting Meijer gift cards and monetary gifts for St. Vincent's. To facilitate this, they've set up tables at both Our Lady and St. Francis, and they'll be overseeing these tables during Mass.
Distribution at St. Vincent: The distribution of the goodies and gifts will take place at St. Vincent's, starting on December 16th, 18th, 19th, and 20th. If you were a recipient of a holiday basket last year, you'll be contacted to pick up your baking items on the specified dates. However, if you weren't on the list last year but would like to receive baking items this year, you can pick up a request slip at the display table during any Mass. Be sure to complete the slip and drop it off in the night box or bring it to the office by December 1st.
