Our parish is sending 8 pilgrims (7 young adults and 1 parent) to World Youth Day in Lisbon, Portugal the first week of August 2023. We will pray over them Sunday, July 23 at the 12:30 pm Mass as a community. Let us keep them in prayer as they embark on this pilgrimage.
Our Lady of the Visitation, you who left in haste towards the mountain to meet Elizabeth, lead our pilgrims also to encounter all those who await them to receive the living Gospel: Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord! May they embark on this journey with haste, free from distractions or delays, but filled with readiness and joy. Grant them peace along their pilgrimage, for those who carry Christ also carry peace, and true well-being lies in doing good. Our Lady of the Visitation, with your divine inspiration, this World Youth Day will be the mutual celebration of the Christ they take, just as you once did. Make it a time of testimony and sharing, fostering unity and gratitude, as each pilgrim seeks out others who eagerly await their arrival. Together with you, may they continue on this path of gathering, so that our world may gather as well, in brotherhood, justice, and peace. Assist them, Our Lady of the Visitation, in bringing Christ to all, obedient to the Father's will, in the love of the Spirit. Amen.
Nuestra parroquia enviará a 8 peregrinos (7 adultos jóvenes y 1 padre/madre) a la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud en Lisboa, Portugal, durante la primera semana de agosto de 2023. Los bendeciremos con nuestras oraciones el domingo 23 de julio, durante la Misa de las 12:30 p.m., como comunidad. Mantengámoslos en nuestras oraciones mientras emprenden esta peregrinación.
Nuestra Señora de la Visitación, tú que partiste apresuradamente hacia la montaña para encontrarte con Isabel, guía también a nuestros peregrinos para que encuentren a todos aquellos que los esperan para recibir el Evangelio vivo: Jesucristo, tu Hijo y nuestro Señor. Que emprendan este viaje con prontitud, libres de distracciones o demoras, pero llenos de disposición y alegría. Concede paz en su peregrinación, pues aquellos que llevan a Cristo llevan también la paz, y el verdadero bienestar reside en hacer el bien. Nuestra Señora de la Visitación, con tu divina inspiración, que esta Jornada Mundial de la Juventud sea una celebración mutua del Cristo que llevan, como una vez lo hiciste tú. Haz que sea un tiempo de testimonio y compartir, fomentando la unidad y la gratitud, mientras cada peregrino busca a otros que esperan ansiosamente su llegada. Junto a ti, que continúen en este camino de encuentro, para que nuestro mundo también se reúna en fraternidad, justicia y paz. Asístelos, Nuestra Señora de la Visitación, en llevar a Cristo a todos, obedeciendo la voluntad del Padre, en el amor del Espíritu Santo. Amén.
