In response to the crisis at the border, through a federal grant, Catholic Charities West Michigan is developing programming that will serve unaccompanied children from Central America. There are thousands of children in need, who are living in secured facilities with less-than-ideal living conditions and we will be coordinating short term foster homes, while we try to connect these children with their families in the US. We will not be involved in the legal status of these children but we do want to show God's love to them and help provide a temporary, safe, and loving environment; where they can feel the security of a family.

They will be hosting 3 informational meetings in the next week, where you can learn more. The dates of these meetings are:
May 11, 6 - 7:30pm (English)
May 18, 12 - 1:30pm (English)
May 18, 6 - 7:30pm (Spanish)

To join one of the informational meetings or ask questions about the process, please email Alisa at aotto@ccwestmi.org.
