Our parish has been going through a process of pastoral planning that has been focused on our mission, Growing Passionate Disciples, and in what way the Holy Spirit is guiding our parish to live our this mission. During this process, we have discerned through prayer and reflection that our purpose as a community is to grow passionate disciples who worship, grow, evangelize, and love.
Imagine with us for a minute what our parish would look like if even half of those connected to the parish lived as passionate disciples. How full would our church be each Sunday? What kinds of things could we do to help the weakest and most vulnerable in our community? How much would our hearts burn for love of the Lord? Each of us is called to live as passionate disciples. We can accomplish this together, and can transform our parish.
As part of our next steps in this ongoing and living plan, we invite you and other parishioners who take an active role in ministry here at St. Francis to Unleash the Gospel: a vision for our future. During the event we will pray for an openness to God’s will and for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, hear about the areas where our leadership team have determined we need to focus our energy, and discuss how we will work together to unleash the Gospel so we can transform our parish to one full of passionate disciples.
As we continue to roll out our pastoral plan, we look forward to working together to unleash the Gospel here at St. Francis to better transform our parish to one full of passionate disciples who worship, grow, evangelize, and love because of the hope and joy found in Jesus Christ.

Nuestra parroquia ha estado pasando por un proceso de planificación pastoral que se ha centrado en nuestra misión, Crecer discípulos apasionados, y de qué manera el Espíritu Santo está guiando a nuestra parroquia a vivir nuestra misión. Durante este proceso, hemos discernido a través de la oración y la reflexión que nuestro propósito como comunidad es desarrollar discípulos apasionados que adoren, crezcan, evangelicen y aman.
Imagine con nosotros por un minuto cómo se vería nuestra parroquia si incluso la mitad de las personas conectadas a la parroquia vivieran como discípulos apasionados. ¿Cuál llena estaría nuestra iglesia cada domingo? ¿Qué tipo de cosas podríamos hacer para ayudar a los más débiles y más vulnerables en nuestra comunidad? ¿Cuánto arderían nuestros corazones por amor al Señor? Cada uno de nosotros está llamado a vivir como discípulos apasionados. Juntos podemos lograr esto y juntos podemos transformar nuestra parroquia.
Esperamos trabar juntos para transformar mejor nuestra parroquia en una llena de discípulos apasionados que adoran, crecen, evangelizan y aman debido a la esperanza y la alegría que se encuentra en Jesucristo.

As part of our roll out of the ongoing and living pastoral plan, we invited parishioners who have an active role in ministry here at St. Francis to an event to learn about the plan. During the event we prayed for an openness to God’s will and for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, heard about the areas where our leadership team have determined we need to focus our energy, and discussed how we will work together to unleash the Gospel so we can transform our parish to one full of passionate disciples.

Haz Llegar el Evangelio, noviembre 2019
Como parte de nuestro próximo paso en este plan continuo y vivo, juntamos con feligreses que desempeñan un papel activo en el ministerio aquí en San Francisco para escuchar de los planes.
