With the forecasted weather this year, we know many will be wondering about whether there will be Mass or not if the weather is bad. As long as our priests can make the four city block journey from the rectory to the church, there will be Mass. If a Mass cancelation was to occur, we will publicize that on our parish website and Facebook page.
Everyone should access their own ability to arrive and return safely given the weather and road conditions. When it is not reasonably safe to attend Mass or when charity would require absenting yourself, such as if you have a contagious illness, the Church teaches that one has no obligation to attend Mass (CCC 2181).
We will live stream all of our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses. You can view the live stream on our website, YouTube Channel, or our Facebook page. The Cathedral of Saint Andrew will also air their 10:30 am Sunday Mass on TV on WXMI Fox 17.
Con el clima pronosticado para este año, sabemos que muchos se estarán preguntando si habrá misa o no si hace mal tiempo. Siempre que nuestros sacerdotes puedan hacer el viaje de cuatro cuadras desde la rectoría hasta la iglesia, habrá misa. Todos deben acceder a su propia capacidad para llegar y regresar de manera segura dadas las condiciones climáticas y de las calles.
