This interactive workshop is a facts-based presentation of the current immigration system -- including simulating how an immigrant might come legally to the U.S. -- which will spark questions and dialogue about what it looks like to speak and think faithfully about the hot topic of immigration. Kate Kooyman from the Christian Reformed Church will facilitate this event.

“The Good Lie” – This is an inspirational film from a part of the world which is the home of St. Francis de Sales’ expected refugee family. After their village is destroyed and their parents killed by Northern militia, Sudanese orphans Theo, his siblings and other survivors make a difficult journey to a refugee camp in Kenya.
